FR component that lists available video codecs
Posted: Wed Nov 10, 2010 10:43 pmI think it would be a good idea to have a component that outputs the available video codecs, with the corresponding 4 letter signature.
The Video save primitive requires one to 'hard code' a particular codec, or put -1 for a dialog so the user can choose from the ones on there system? I'm assuming this is the case. Anyway I've set it to -1 but now when I press record I get a dialog to choose the codec hence going beyond the bit I wanted to start recording at. Could that dialog be made a separate primitive so the user can select their codec and then press record when they are ready? Would be much better that way I think.
