Clearing the multiplex ?

Postby lalalandsynth » Sun Jul 23, 2017 11:37 pm

I am running into a weird problem with the multiplex where it seems to remember and send its input to all outputs when they are switched on. Is there a way of clearing that or triggering it in some manner ?
I need to mult 3 arrays and this thing is not working how I imagined it would.

EDIT: Turns out this is not what I needed so its semi-solved, I should probably think twice before posting on the forum, getting a bit better in FS ;)

Thanks for your time.

That's what the multiplexors are meant to do. Confused the hell out of me when I first came across this!

In the good old days of real electronics multiplexors could be used to distribute fixed or varying values to components, at the time required. For example you could have several capacitors to retain different values as the MPX switched. in effect, these capacitors are built into the MPX prim.

Cheers

Yes , but the caps would be after the output , so separate from the mux itself.
But I see why they would do it like this , it does behave like a mux with caps , rather then a standalone mux.
All good , found a modifed mux on the forum , that clears the outputs.

I needed this for the copy and paste module but I dont want that cleared either but still good to have that clearable mux in the toolbox.
