what can be done with a NGX LPC4330-Xplorer ?

For anything not directly related to FlowStone

what can be done with a NGX LPC4330-Xplorer ?

Postby steph_tsf » Mon Jul 08, 2013 8:59 am

Please have a look to that audio DSP engine, having an onboard MicroSD card slot. Is there a format we can use, for asking such Audio DSP engine to execute (very) simple Flowstone schematics? Can somebody tell me if reading a .fsm or any other possible file format coming from Flowstone, is a way to go?

This is coming from here:

?

It's is possible to read a fsm file. However it is not documented and the devs change the format frequently. I've done a file reader for OSM/HOM Files long time ago. It's structured very logically and with a hex editor and much time you can find your way through it.

However, you have to implement a lot of functions to be compatible with FS, and I don't think that this is good way to go. There are several hundreds of primitives, that you'll have to adopt.
It might be better to build a schematic, that itself outputs a schematic description of itself. So you need special modules, that then get called by a "compile" trigger and finally output something like: I'm Module X, and I'm connected to the modules A on connector 1, B on connector 2,C on connector 3,...

The LPC4300 is very nice... as I said in the other thread.

With these memory restrictions I`d program and optimise it directly. Mostly the small stuff is quite limited for the kind of audio we have come to expect. Just bought a Virtex 5 to exploit. But.. that`s to do robotics with..
