how do i know? well from years of experience and understanding of the concepts of ac/dc generation!
the way the dc is converted from these motors is full of ripple because of the configuration of the motor! these have only a couple of coils to output the pulses, the more coils the smoother the output.
the motor is outputing the upper signal in this diagram and filtered useable dc is seen in the bottom sketch! pure dc is a square wave and looks like the next picture! and i think that is noise being shown in yellow

try this! put a diode on the positive input to the motor, take the positive output of the generator and feed it back to the motor after the diode, take the generators negative and send it to ground! you should see a tiny difference in the draw from the batteries running the motor! it should be less by one or two milliamps!
