Any word on a 64 bit version ?
Re: Any word on a 64 bit version ?
hmm sounds like pretty crappy solution...better hope for FS 64 support
Hoping for the future is always good. but in the meantime, there is a present. and creativity shouldn't be braked because of disconsolate technical issues like the lack of 64bit or mac support. if this solution becomes reasonable enough, people will use it, or will run into SE's arms without looking back, despite all of it's limitations because as i can see, without cross platform support, you get ignored by the industrial media. you get no respect, no glory and no cash (like kush).
i made a release lately. a cute free synth. got great feedbacks from users that downloaded and used it, but nobody talks about it. nobody review it. nobody discuss it. its like "hey, another limping 32bit Wreck for free. looks nice. i'll test it right after i'll buy the new ezdrummer and jam it a little. if i won't forget..."
that certainly doesn't add toothpicks to your creativity fire. so, currently, any solution is welcome. In the same breath, hope DSPR's one will preempt them all.

I don't belive that is true. I sell plugins, so people buy them.
Many people doesn't even know that they are 32bit also if is all written in the site, they don't know the difference.
The fact is that you doesn't get so much respect from websites. Reviews and things doesn't seems to come.

kortezzzz wrote:Very easy. Synthedit loads any 3party plugin that has been sended to selected folder by the options. You open a new project, load that plugin, put it in a container and create inputs/outputs for it. Then you fix the gui's location on the panel and export to vst format.
By the way, another issue i'v fotgot to count is loading time in a daw. It takes about 5-20 seconds to load fs+se made plugin
And i have no idea why. This issue will have to be fixed as well, so synthedit will function just like savihost.
I remember a long time ago, in a graphical programming environment now defunct (Synthmaker)...
There were discussions about this kind of feature. I even remember finding a hidden "plugin loader" inside SM, but never got it to work... or did it work? Can´t remember really. What I remember is people talking about the danger of someone wrapping, say, waves plugins with a different GUI and trying to sell them as theirs, and the bad reputation that would build around SM if something like that started to happen... I guess that´s why Jeff has been reluctant to offer this functionality as part of SE.

very good news. but i'm sure that with some bigger hype around and support from famous sites, you could do even better+entice the gourmet pro market. and we all know what will make it happen.

if someone cheats or steals, it's shouldn't be Jeff's problem. i don't see companies sue cracking tool's makers. they are looking for the crackers. i don't understand why a tool maker should worry about what one will do with it.
so, lets stop selling knifes so no one will stab anybody...
every tool can be used for bad purpose, but it doesn't means people should stop creating tools.
i believe Jeff understands that in the nowadays.

I want 64 bit and vst 3.
Mac could wait. Mac's market share is just little, and people's doesen't became pro's because "i switched to mac".
They just make me laugh..

i wouldn't degrade them so easily. you can say anything you want about them (and a lot will be probably be true)
but one of the most important things they do for our benefit is to buy. they actually buy what they like. so in that way, they not only support developers, but also show a respect and appreciation. they want to "live in their own movie"? thats o.k (if they enjoy that, why should we judge?...) but we can't ignore their good side, and most important thing: we can't afford ourselves giving up such clients.
I want to have programmers like Malc on my side
me too, pall. me too.
