Sample acurate timing - well where?
Hello!
So Flowstone V3 was saing that the timing problem may be solved now. Or am i totaly wrong?
Since Timing war one of those problems why i stopped working 2 jeas ago with VSTi in SynthMaker
So now it should be solfable: A sequenzing with midi. is that correct?
is there any example of that yet or is something coming?
Regards

You can find in you tollbox the Ticker Custom, and can use it for generate better timing.
it works well with ruby module,
but not with the redraw graphics, it remains always fixed with a maximum of 100Hz.

well but it dows not seem that it is accurate to the AUDIO Clock. And still with this module the sequencing part with midi is verry fishy. I've seen there is this Ruby component with "Frames". is there an example how to handle that? and generate midi or trigger signals with it?

the manual is an example of how to generate midi from ruby.
respect to generate trig from ruby module, I have not investigated.

Here's an example we've been working on for an arpeggiator module.
To stay accurate all the timing critical stuff needs to be kept within a Ruby section. So that's inside a Ruby component or passed via Ruby Value or MIDI connectors. As soon as you convert back into triggered data you'll lose accuracy.

Re: Sample acurate timing - well where?
Not sure what you mean? Does the timing work when exported? Yes it does. The timing for MIDI is based on the audio buffer requests, it doesn't matter where they come from - could be FlowStone or an audio host.

....means it makes no sense to extract float from mono stream with 1ms timer (1000 times per seconds) ?

That is one method also,
which is improved by Ruby's faster tick.
edit:PS- Wow support! Thanks a million for the arp module.
I love it- very useful. I'll try learn some Ruby stripping the non-essentials out,
functioning as a clock
