Reveb \ Delay with "freeze" feature

Postby kortezzzz » Wed Jul 31, 2019 11:12 am

Heya,
I have no idea if this one already discussed here, but I see that the last trend in the market is "freeze" button in delays or reverbs vsts. If I understand correctly, what they actually do is to freeze a small piece of a real time played audio and repeat it endlessly when the "freeze" button is pressed, while simultaneously continuing playing the original playback in the background . When the button gets shut off, the freeze effect stops immediately. I guess the method is actually using 2 delays in parallel while the second one is in charge for the "freeze" and it has a fixed "mix" and "feedback" characters set to 100%. When the button is pressed, it freezes a short audio part which is sent to the second delay and get delayed endlessly, until the "freeze" button is shut down. Anyway, I would love to see this feature done in FS so if you guys have any idea how to take it forward, I would love to hear about it.
