Still no wave-sequencing or Prophet VS wavetables - anyone have a source for these?

Per cakebox's suggestion, in observance of Dr. Don's passing:

Maybe Martin has some ideas about simulating Vactrol behaviour?

We're knockin' 'em down here folks.

80-vox - a loose emulation of only the very basic voice structure of the CS-80 (hence the name); no ribbon controller, effects, etc. It will respond to aftertouch, but not poly, of course. I don't have a controller with aftertouch, so I can't test it's response - those who can let me know if it needs adjustment.

Biggest deviation from the CS-80's basic structure is the swapping out of the Ring Modulator for a second LFO (Sub Oscillator, in Yammy-speak). I always thought the single LFO was CS-80's biggest limitation. With 80-vox both LFOs can modulate any combination of both synth-lines. Also VCOs I and II can FM each other. There are more waveforms than CS-80 had and they can be cross-faded and modulated.

I went ahead and did an automation cleanup of theMusicWeasel - still no real sequencer, just the Fisher-Price stepLFO.
Still, fun to play around with something like this for free!

Hoping a Flowstoner will help with crafting a real sequencer for this.

Per a request by Knob Twiddler, tonus 2620 now has the ability to 'insert a dummy plug', i.e., connect 'nothing' to an input instead of the default connection. Can't think what this would enable you to do, but the hardware could do it, so why not?

Automation fix for The Punie_2s. Gotta love re-naming over 100 matrix pins!

The _2s suffix by the way, refers to the fact that it has has 2 envelopes (mod ADSR and VCA ADSR, rather the the VCS3's odd Attack/On time/Decay/Off time), and a step LFO.

Working now on a second version that has a partial emulation of the single Envelope (this one will have modulatable Decay) and some features from the DK keyboard; no step LFO.

Should be fun.

Interest here seems to have evaporated, but here's The Putnie_os (for Old School envelope). Much closer to the original instrument than the previous version, but a couple of functions of the Env I couldn't figure out.

Includes functions from the DK keyboard.

Spogg the Magnificent sure picked his time to swan off on holiday ... I'm sure he'll stir things up a bit when he gets back.

Don't know my way around this forum - I think maybe the developers congregate in some other part.

We mere users are still following developments and discussing them 'elsewhere' - often under assumed names (to protect the innocent?). The nature/quality of those discussions is encouraging - they're not likely to die out soon, and the reputation of these plugins will continue to grow for years to come.

I like the way you've integrated the DK's functions - if the originals didn't function that way, EMS got it wrong!

Can't say I miss the 'off' part of the traps. And 'on' only really makes sense in repeat mode anyway (and I'm not at all sure the later Synthis didn't work this way - certainly most of the emulations do).

I'll take this for a proper spin a bit later, but on first encounter it feels like the genuine article - hard to express what I mean, but it's still quite rare in VST-land.

Thank you.

[**EDIT**]

Another brief play.
The RingMod has changed - it seems to be passing (part of) the unmodified signals along with the RM ones. (And possibly out of phase?)

Yeah, I'm hoping Spogg will have suggestions about getting help from some of the other FS 'egg-sperts' on things like a real sequencer and the Buchla Source of Uncertainty; maybe some help from martin v with getting a more complete and accurate set of filters for eXpando (OB Xpander - did I include that in Bundle?).

Thanks for the good word - I'll look into the Ring Mod, but as I understand it these SM ring mods are technically Amplitude Modulation and some of the un-modded signal is still there. But I'll make sure there isn't something else going on. I might 'cheat' a little and give a choice 'RM' types, like on tonus 2620: AC or DC. They sound pretty different.

Ring Mod back to the way it was. Use the same link in above post.
