Ive discussed this with Malc & pretty much the main issue is time/money.

Like I said before, if we can kickstart 64bit (show DSPR that we have dollar to put down and pay for our needs) then things will get going. I mean, how can it be declined if there is money on the table enough to cover costs of the new development plus some extra left over . . . :lol:

Lets be constructive and see in what way we can help to get 64bit going: http://www.dsprobotics.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=2608

I'm not feeling very positive as you have just confirmed what many of us feared, 64 bit developement hasnt even started. It was promised a very long time ago, it is of vital importance to vst developers (but obviously not to educational and robotics users, which is where the product is now directed)

Personally I feel completely ripped off having bought flowstone with support and updates and being told a 64 bit version was being developed (clearly not true)...the 1 update I received was trivial, the synth & music side just hasn't been developed at all since synthmaker merged and feedback on product developement has been non existent,

If you remove crc checksum , we can patch the exe without corrupting it to support 4gb+ virtual memory , i asked some very skilled teenagers to patch my executables so i had version info , alas it did not work so well :(
How is flowstone compiled , how is it compressed?

To be fair, it might have started (I know for a fact Malc HAS looked into this already & its not as easy as you think). I am in no way affiliated with DSPR and im not a spokesperson for them. So I wouldnt throw them out the door just yet. True they have not been very vocal with their thoughts / plans ect but thats up to them. i too wish they would let us know, which is why we are getting support for the kickstarter proposal :D

being told a 64 bit version was being developed

Where did you see this? I am curious :)

"So to summarise FlowStone 3 is SynthMaker 3 with a new name. It will have Ruby scripting, sample accurate MIDI and VST2.4. After release we'll be straight onto looking at 64bit."
->Fri Sep 14, 2012 11:38 am
So:
After the release of Flowstone 3.0.0 we'll be straigth onto looking at 64bit.

"If you're asking about x64 then sorry we can't give any indication until we start looking into it. We need to get the application to build first and address any compatibility issues then we need to write an x64 compiler for the audio engine. Who knows what that could throw up but we'll certainly try and let you know as it progresses."
-> Mon Sep 17, 2012 6:21 am

That's all.
They never said "We will make it". Just many people belived that the new subscription format, the new dev. road etc etc had to lead to this.
I mean, 2 years passed and we are goin to be really close to 3 years...... Alot of time to "look at" and no progresses about that has never been said.

So i'll support a kick stard when it's official, but we need some official news.

Fair enough Corestylerz :idea: :)

I will agree with you that we need to know whats happening on this. Its been too long now & I have already sent a message to Malc on it. So we will see whats going on.

I hope the response comes sooner rather than later. . . . even if its declining an offer for future dev on the audio side.

:D

iOS. I see so much crap on it, that I'm thinking to do something on my own. BUT WITH WHAT? Therefore - iOS. x64 can wait. :mrgreen:

Do it in X.code.

Do it yourself. I'm on PC/Win. Besides in the same way I could say - "Want x64? Leave FS, learn C++". As far I can say, xcode is not visual modular dataflow?

You felt on love with a tiger?
Get a Mac and make iOS apps it's not as bad as making c++ plugins.
Just pay attention to not come in the Apple's fans community every time with the inverse relative non sense bla bla bla..
