Re: So, when is 64bit VST3.5.x be released in FS?

Well, I do have confidence in Malc and Jorge, but I really cannot see FS going anywhere without 64 bit. I said a while ago, if they want to just let this die by the way side in favor of the robotics aspects then that's fine, but at least give us a product that is relevant first. If they do no more VST support then ok, but leave FS in a place where we, its largest customer base can use it.
Give us a fixed ruby(done), and 64 bit, that's all we need to make it so we can release plugs. Anyone releasing a "new" 32 bit only plug nowadays looks like an idiot...

i wouldnt say it that hard because there is a big difference between users and developers, sure for developers it is more or less a must to release also 64 bit versions of their plugs but for a user a developer will not look like an idiot when there is an innovative vst just for 32 bit...

anyway just to remember some words of malc:
http://synthmaker.co.uk/forum/viewtopic ... &sk=t&sd=a

"Now, of course 2.4 is not the latest version of the VST standard, however it is still the most popular. We have looked at VST3 and right now we don't believe it offers enough to justify the move. For us there are other areas that are a higher priority. All hosts support VST2.4 so VST3 won't make your plugins any more compatible. Many other plugin developers have come to the same conclusion and are sticking with 2.4 for now. What I will say is that if a compelling reason does arise, favour starts to swing towards VST3 over 2.4 or hosts start dropping 2.4 support then obviously we would move to VST3."

hmm, maybe now the time will slowly come....

further:

"So to summarise FlowStone 3 is SynthMaker 3 with a new name. It will have Ruby scripting, sample accurate MIDI and VST2.4. After release we'll be straight onto looking at 64bit. "
...
"Double processing - we'll look at this too when we start on x64. Any x64 support will have to process doubles anyway."

so 64 bit should be on the plan! me, i cant wait too, but i`m also sure it will happen (hopefully) soon.
for now i`m pretty cool about this and i`m working out some concepts for new instruments and effects so thát everything is ready for the big day! :)

I'm looking to purchase Flowstone and also would like to know if this will be implemented in the short term. VST creation is the main thing I will be doing in FlowStone and not being able to generate 64bit plugins would be a reason to reconsider choosing FlowStone.
