putting toghether some primitives is also 'code' with the difference that its shown in a graphical way so where should be the difference,

The planning.

An original author of works can answer, the what? , the where? & the why?. Whereas someone who steals something is clueless to the purpose , reasoning & somewhat functionality.

just here we discuss about if the uploader have any rights for his work or not?

Of course they do, the layout regardless of containing code or not, is the product of ones imagination & ability to convey that idea. It is not the materials, it is the structure :) (see planning)

should shared modules get used without any credit to the original developer?

I believe in etiquette, how somebody can not give thanks for something that minimizes there development cycle is just plain rude IMO.

Most of you as a community have seen / helped develop, or critiqued someones work on these forums, the evidence or proof of authenticity is already within these pages. Theft of IP is a question of when? & how? , When the original idea was conceived & How.

I have created special account for forum files.

I have circumvented any legal and moral issues by linking to the file directly and adding a disclaimer saying the file is not hosted on Flowstone Guru and so is not subject to the Module License.

First thing I have added are the RBJ Biquad Filters ported to Synthmaker by Shifrin.

If any other active members want to get involved with adding forum modules please PM me and I can give you access to the forumfiles account, although I want to just keep access to a relatively small number of people I can trust.

I have also added the license and upload guidelines as downloads but you can view them in your browser without needing to download.

I might start a separate thread where people can link to files they would like to see indexed on Flowstone Guru. Would people be interested in helping to find the best stuff on the forums? Would just be a case of finding it and posting a link to the thread with quick description (please don't post them to this one though). Then people with access to the forumfiles account can add them manually as and when they have time.

Brilliant idea Exo. :!:
This is the best way forward to achieving the impossible dream of
slowly collecting all the good Custom user modules, and having them in one place.

BTW..
Can I suggest some more categories, like....
Game development..(DSPR's Space invader, Trogs Asteriods..ect)
Knobs/Sliders/Custom Controls(Trog Knob, nubeat7 slider/Adsr..ect)
Educational Links....maybe??
forum is littered with links to learn ruby....be good to have em all on one page..

Thanks, yes more categories like that will be needed my current strategy is to try and add specific categories as and when I need them, I don't want to end up with lots empty categories.

Educational links is definitely a good idea I have already given a "resources" page a bit of thought and would like something dynamic rather than a static page of links because it could become hard to maintain otherwise so I have still to come up with a good solution for that but it is on the list :).

Hi Exo, what do you think about adding links to the VST plugins made with Flowstone?

Yes that is a good idea, I will add a section for that to the Resources page when I get that up and running.

How do you intend to manage the "toolkits" that have been put together over time? Trog can handle his own stuff but there are a couple big kits on the SM forums that are full of various tools made by various people. Also for something like Dozius' filter pack, would you just include an upload of/link to the whole pack rather than creating a separate item for every module in there? Just some things to consider.

And Exo: never post schematics with "audio on".

It has two issues. 1) it may produce unexpected loud sound, 2) it may crash some iteration of FS when trying to load (it also may crash FS when switching between open schematics).
