KVR is a scam
I don't think patches do more money then interesting instruments\effects. i had few discuses about it with musiciansand most of them said they are tired of using that kontakt stuff and they hate it too. most of them said they wish seeing small cool cleaver stuff rather than ugly and clumsy beasts like kontakt\reaktor\sampletank which force you using mega-tons of samples. and by the way, most surprising thing i'v heard was the empathy for the old steinberg's "virtual guitarist". people just crazy about it.if you want to make some money not selling patches, go MAC
never heard on it. can you please share any links to articles or something that confirm that?AD converters will not be higher than 32 any time soon, they have been this way since 2000, and sooner
mmm... with what? But it's probably more effective to just make reaaly clever sounds with it. And rock
They actually buy stuff, PC users tend to get all uptight about buying stuff.go MAC
True me too. Good small stuff rocks, and if its cheap im not biassed against it.I don't think patches do more money then interesting instruments\effects. i had few discuses about it with musiciansand most of them said they are tired of using that kontakt stuff and they hate it too.
It has to do with accuracy, if you speed up the ad coversion any further it will be less accurate. Making it pointless to do so. It has been like that for a while now. 24bits.. No good sources, except a theoretical class in 2000 somewhere. Still stands strong today. Not saying a stroke of brilliance may not change that. But has yet to happen.AD converters will not be higher than 32 any time soon, they have been this way since 2000, and sooner
Take Squarepusher for instance, he is not selling patches. Just using Reaktor a lot.with what?
Yeah, they do buy. it's true. but pc market is a way bigger. and if only few percents of it love your product and buy it, you are just fine. but seem like it can happen only after we'll provide these market 64bit versions. The psychological effect of having native 64bit version in the arsenal is huge. you get more respect from the masses. same story with this AXX support stuff; everybody release it lately. They actually buy stuff, PC users tend to get all uptight about buying stuff.
interesting statement. i'll try to find some info on google. anyway, if 24bit is not a good source, whats the alternative? 16bit?if you speed up the ad conversion any further it will be less accurate
Truth be, when i open my releases on 64bit reaper, I can't find any difference between my plugins and the other native 64bit ones. They all perform very good, as long as they are synthesis based and not sample based. but market's hype has it's own rules and few plugin producer encourage this "resolution race" as it Serves their interests.Regardless ... the 64-bit format is constantly being requested from those interested in products we're building.
Bringing this format to FS would help everyone ... including the FS developers.
Amen....
