Module search/selection area is a nightmare

The Flowstone Module search and selection area is a real nightmare to navigate and find modules compared to Synthmaker. Any tips/shortcuts or ways to live with the mess that it is.

It's not too bad if you know the name of the module you are looking for.
I always use the text search,
and it's not too annoying.

That's just it ... I don't always know the module I am looking for. You might be able to remember the regular modules but add to that the many custom modules and it becomes this nightmare. The thing was perfect in Synthmaker!
It seems the consensus at DSPRobo was to beautify the interface at the expense of functionality? Let me make the formal request for the developers to look at this because search doesn't work if you don't know what it is your looking for. I really hate to think what struggles new users may encounter and this will definitely effect the uptake and adoption of Flowstone.
I have a long history of UI/Graphic design and the new interface really isn't more visually engaging then the old one but the usability of it is about 50% of what it was.

try give them expressive names, make folders for for different your specific module types and put them where they should be and all is fine

its just a question of organisation

also google cannot help you then
i must say i cant remember if the change was so annoying to me, i dont think, but sometimes i either cannot find what i`m searching for but i had this problems with SM too, its just a question of how long it needs to get comfortable with the new workflow and how good it is organized which for sure is the most important thing
beside that there is also this new feature to make local toolboxes specific for projects which i never used but i think this could be really useful if you have a lot of custom modules

The easiest way for you would be to make a list of named modules (with short description if needed) that are by default in FS, so that you have a personal list of keywords/tags that you can use for searching. Having such condensed and sorted list (maybe with icons), printed on 1-2 sheets of paper - you would know what you can get. Then just start typying your keyword.
I noticed that sometimes it's better to use fractional uniqe names like "tiply" instead of "multi" for "multiply", so that the FS searches faster (less results, more stable appearance)

Ah. Ok thanks ... maybe it will grow on me. My projects tend to be very large so organization has to be part of the laundry list.

Only time will tell, you all seem to be comfortable with it so that's encouraging.

Now this is an improvement .. so it seems the developers are thinking about organization.

It limits toolbox items to items used in project. Switchable via workspace and context menu as far I remember (not used it yet).

...still can't find that feature. Don't you mean the "recent" filter?

it`s in the menu "schematic" the last option "create local toolbox" like this you can creat a toolbox just with the tools from the selected module
