LFO in sync for each note?

I never noticed it before, so maybe there are already solutions?
If I use an LFO (in this case Martin's excellent Multi-LFO, but it is true for other LFOs I tried), then the LFO triggers from the start for each note pressed. While this is no issue when playing several notes at once, it is when you play a note, hold it and then play additional notes. They are out of sync. Is there a way to tell the lfo to start a new note at exactly where it is for the previous note(s)?
For example, if a note is played with a sine lfo and 1/4 of the sine is through when I play the next note, then this next note should start at 1/4 and not a 0.
Note, I don't mean in sync to the host's tempo, I mean a "local" sync, so to speak.
