Of course you can. Since there are few knobs methods on the forum (ruby knobs, green knobs), We should know which type you use. I suggest you upload both the knob and the png. you like and I'll help you with that.

KnobMan has been a very popular utility for creating knobs, buttons, sliders, etc.
http://www.g200kg.com/en/software/knobman.htmlNot sure where your 'graphics savvy' is at ... personally, I find the graphics designing to be a major part of the project ... time wise, and have much respect to those that do it so well. [and then share]
Although my designs seem rather average looking ... I do put a lot of time into it.

Of course, after using a 'new design' under real-world conditions, there can be adjustments to make as far as how a knob responds, or sweeps.
It all goes to the 'FlowStone' concept for me. I'm not going to be investing years learning something like C++, but I do like the challenge of turning an idea into something useful. Many times my 'ideas' are beyond my ability ... but I've thanked and thanked those here that have selflessly helped me. It's a strange kinda fun ... a hobby ... probably keeps me out of trouble

Hello,
I had solved the problem even before kortezzzz posted, but I will up load my files a little later today to see how you solve it and I will definitely download Knobman.
Many thanks to both of you for your feedback.

Hello kortezzzz, here is the fsm

Hi Bob,
What you actually need is switching the graphics method from ruby drawing to green drawing in this case. That's the easiest way. Since we don't have the source knob's original bitmap (although it can be extracted, I just don't remember how) I've just copied the whole module that related to the graphics from the source knob and replaced with it the "green" target knob's method. The functionality hasn't changed. If you like to make bitmap like this with knobman, you should have some designing skills since knobman cannot open exported png. files as buttons; you should design your own from scratch.

I messed around with knobs a while back.
The fsm below was useful for extracting the image inside a knob.
You should save as .png to preserve the transparency since the other file formats will turn the transparent region black.
This isn't much use for creating new knobs but you could use an image editing program to change colours, sizes etc. Then reload into the knob.
Cheers
