Video Recorder/Player
In this example you can choose to record the video from your webcam to disk. when you click record you are asked to select a video recording codec, the video size and quality will vary depending on the codec selected.
Once you video has been recorded 'video.avi' by default, you can choose to open in and play it back to check the results.
Enhancements to this example could be to set the video codec required using the four digit codec ID (see: http://www.free-codecs.com/guides/FourCC.htm) instead of -1, this way you can avoid the pop codec selector. Also you could use the Video Delay module to delay the video signal by a number of seconds to ensure you record the video that triggered the event, ie. Motion detection!
Also the Webcam module could be replaced with the Video Stream module to capture video from IP CCTV cameras!
