Win10 / toolbox

Postby k brown » Sat Jun 27, 2020 7:19 am

I know the toolbox issue's been discussed exhaustively, but I haven't been able to figure how to move my toolbox over to my new Win10/64-bit laptop. I've installed 3.0.8, (which is what's on my old machine, and have been building with for the last couple of years) but Win 10 has no App Data folder where the Modules/User folders usually reside. I tried copying the User folder to the FS Modules folder (in the Program Files folder), but my user modules aren't there, just the 'factory' modules, prims, etc. (so this isn't an 'empty toolbox' problem).

The way I solve it is I create an empty schematic, and move all my toolbox items there, save it, then open it in the new floestone and create a new category in the tools and drag all my stuff there

Windows 10 does have the folder (C:\Users\[YourName]\AppData\Roaming\FlowStone\Modules\User), it is just set as hidden by default. To see it, you need to set Windows Explorer to show hidden items. A checkbox for this is found under the View pull-down menu.

Well, that certainly explains why I couldn't find it - thanks.
