RE (Rack Extensions) "wrapper" in FlowStone

Postby StackOverflow » Sat Sep 27, 2014 12:46 pm

Hi, I'm new in FlowStone. I'm using Native Instruments Reaktor since 2007 or so, and now I decided to create my own VSTi (work in progress... "-Namaste- Subtractive Synthesizer" in FlowStone to practice with this powerful modular software.
But the final goal is different from this, and first I want to ask you all if is is possible. Is it possible to create a sort of "wrapper" for the Reason Rack Extensions synthesizers plugins??
there are tons of amazing stuff for Reason and I continue to use my v.5 (without RE) in reWire (Cubase is so much better!). I would really like to use these software synthesizers as VSTis in my Cubase, without owning a newer version of Reason and without the reWire protocol!

All I want to ask you is if this goal is possible! I know that a normal wrapper is impossible to creates, because RE manages MIDI in a different way than VST, but I believe that it isn't impossible to create a sort of external emulation of this management in a wrapper (a bit emulator...and a bit wrapper).
Can you answer me, robots?? :)
