toolbox problem

Postby scanz » Sat Oct 15, 2016 2:40 pm

no idea why but my toolbox has lost most of it's contents all of a sudden. it's happened before but sorted itself out on restarting the programme, seems to be a bit more tricky to fix this time. would like to know if anyone on the forum has had this problem and knows how to sort it.cheers

This is an issue that can sometimes happen. I believe it can happen if FS closes "unaturally" while starting up.

If you go to ..\<Username>\AppData\Roaming\Flowstone\Tags and find Tagbar.txt you will need to rebuild this manually based on your tag names.

If it can't be found or opened replace it with mine (in the tags.zip which is the whole folder so you can see the structure) and edit it according to your tag file names.

Having had this a few times now, I make backups of the Tags folder and indeed the whole Flowstone folder every month or so.

Hope this gets you sorted...

Cheers

thanks for the help I,m gonna have a look at your attachment for future reference but by a weird coincidence walter sommerfeld was on the forum at the same time as me and I looked thru his post's just out of interest and found a solution he posted up a while ago to just this problem, tried it and it worked! very similar if not exactly the same as your solution I would have thought. involved copying the tag file and renaming the tag folder. nice one. cheers.
