There were so many solutions to music creation and effects generation, I never cease to be amazed !
Plate reverb, what an idea.
Theremin, who would've guessed ?
Coral sitar, used on several hit records.
Rotating speaker diffusers for 'chorus' effects, the list is endless !
I have a dear friend who worked at "Muzak" here in N.Y.C. decades ago.
In the old days, before his time, Muzak recorded much of its own music, they actually used an unused elevator shaft for a reverb !
And the innovators !
Guys like Joe Meek, total screwballs who pushed the envelope !
