Sorry didn't realise you were reinventing the wheel just thought you wanted something quick that worked :(

not intentionally.

If you would ... help me identify the 'switch' you're referring to ... I must have overlooked it when searching through the toolbox.

thanks

He he - making 26" custom wide-profile alloys with racing tyres! ;)

Seriously though - the stock controls are certainly useful and I use them still when prototyping a new design - but as soon as I had the experience, I always made my own.
It can be good learning, but also, making stock modules is something the dev's don't have a whole lot of time for, and many of them are far from being "optimal" designs - for example, all the unnecessary green triggers that the stock knobs throw out. Whether by green or Ruby, the stock designs can be improved upon and given new features in many ways - a long tradition in SM which I'm pleased to see continues here.
All schematics/modules I post are free for all to use - but a credit is always polite!

I was thinking of the four switches that top the list when you type switch into the toolbox search
Here's one I knocked together from an SM push button that may suit your needs.

Hi Xtinct,

Nice on the button ... thanks, but the need I had included Text switching in the label display. This button is a single label ... oh well, thanks still !

It might be a simple operation to mod, but I've not delved that deep yet. That is why I went with the button I did ... only to realize afterward that Preset was not in there.

I know these things are really basic, and each component is integral to the process ... but there is also the reason for doing this ... if anything to test a concept or functionality

Still putting my toolbox library together ... not complete at this point.

I think this has everything your first post had plus the preset

might have just been easier to add the preset part to yours but I've got to know the SM push button quite well recently, I tried a similar method as yours using a counter for a three way switch only to realise counters and the preset manager don't play well together, do' able but I don't recommend it.
Keep it simple is always the best solution especially if like me you don't leave yourself notes

Wow ... This looks quite comprehensive and customizable.

Thanks Xtinct for taking the time and sharing this.

These are the type of items that are needed so often ... this will be nice to have a very flexible one to call on.
I realize some projects might require optimizing right into the switch ... but mine are not at that point or need.

This is nice ... going to kick the tires with it !

Thanks!
