Hello & Feature Requests?

Postby Sean » Sun Jun 30, 2013 4:28 pm

Hello Everyone

Just took the plunge and bought the flow board pack with flowstone...weird to pay in USD when it's a UK company and I'm in the UK!

Workflow and modules with flowstone are great, I use Max 6 but really missed not been able to make VSTs so here I am.

I thought I wold share a few observations having found flowstone and used it for a week or so....

1- it's great, wish I had found it sooner- why does I get so little publicity ? (KVR, music press etc- no macpro or groove 'how to' videos...)
2- there is some great SM stuff that doesn't seem to have been ported over to this forum, for example, there are dsp modules to download here, but not the excellent analog kit?
3- the PDF module discretion is pretty good, but it should be a HTML document linked to the actual modules...(ideally with hook up examples a la Max)
4- the tagging system is a good idea but should be further subdivided 'out of the box' as I am sure everyone must tag further (midi, vst, oscillators etc) - audio is a very broad tag!

Modules are without a doubt the key to this software, but you have to search to find them, there should be some I'd database (rather than a forum) like NI Reactor, where users can upload modules with descriptions etc, much easier to find stuff!

Last but not least, how about a dedicated 'feature' and 'module' requests part of the forum?

PS - now synthmaker is part of FS, should t there be a dedicated synth making sub forum like there is for robotics etc?

On the flowboard side, any plans on a motor control board or can anyone suggest a typical board (like an UNO board) to hook up for control?

Thanks for listening!

Thanks Nubeat7- I have been busy taging, I just wondered (suspected) if many people were all doing the same type of tagging, for example, the first thing I did was put all of the modules for making VST synths togeather (from midi in to oscilatores to outputs all in one tag)

I just had the full Flowboard kit delivered today (I bought the bundle) so I am sure I will be tagging more I/O stuff soon!
