Radio buttons under preset manager

Postby kortezzzz » Thu Aug 15, 2013 7:53 pm

Hallo forum.

I'm trying to save radio buttons combination in a preset with no success. Its really strange.
everything seems OK but the preset is not saved correctly.
can anyone help with that?

here is a simple schematic with 2 sets of animal list. i need that every preset of the total 5 will show
a different animal name, and keep the correct radio button switched on. for example, preset one will show "dog"
in both sets, when radio button 1 is on in both sets. preset 2 will show "cat" in both sets, when radio button 2 is on in both sets, and so on...
THANKS! :D

Thanks guys...
I'm loving it...huge difference to my project...
My synth will be an estimated 400,00 parts lighter...just from changing this one selector.

Have a go at it mate :)

Will change to original graphic when I get home...if you havn't already got it by then.

Thanks, billv, It will be great if you upload another schematic that shows how to use your own knob.
As my experience with Ruby and FS is very poor, I don't think I'll find a solution by my self
I really appreciate your investment in the forum, especially considering the fact that you work so many hour (12??? :o )

:o :o :o , 400, 000???? is that synth going to control a F-16 ?
No, really, 400,000 parts gonna disappear?... 400,000 of how many total parts? 1,000,000 ?
AMAZING... can't wait to see this.

I suppose there are many ways to go about it,depends on what you want displayed...
With your graphic, the circuit looks a lot better :) that whole section is now more streamlined
...as some parts not needed.
How it was done....
1. first i stole your parts....
the background graphic, and the two bitmaps- (black and red switches)
2. Dropped your background graphic in...and sent it to the back of the module.
3. gave your red and black switches a home by putting them in a "Display window" modules.
4. Because the red is required for movement...the black can be treated as a "background" graphic.
So its just the red graphic that needs to be on a selector.
5. Then in the top level of the modules, open module up, go in and re-position the graphics
and mouse selection so that they all line up.

No...but if it could make a decent cup of "tea" and maybe a "fig roll"...
some of the boys might be happier :D

Last version in SM was 1,100,000 or so...
Last update to 2.05 was about 900,000 or so....
My tempo module was the worst...206,000 parts for one stupid module...
is now down to 7000 ...
The next update to 2.06 is looking huge.... a total loss of about 500,000 parts...maybe more...

Same here...will be a massive improvement. Looks like Preset management going in
at the same time, as well as some other new stuff...
FSM of Synth is in Examples, or exe/dll at home website(link at bottom of page).
http://www.dsprobotics.com/support/viewtopic.php?f=3&t=1317#p4703
It was born in SM, about 2 years ago, been online since the start.
It had 32 updates in SM...so the main story of it is back there...

billv, you are the man! thank you, brother. it work like WOW :D

billv wrote:a decent cup of "tea" and maybe a "fig roll"...

:?: mmmm... am i missing something? anyway, your synth looks like a lurking monster.
so many features... oh man, how does your CPU live with that?
well, i believe the schematic is super optimized (and will optimized alot more at the future)
but i never saw it staring at KVR or any other place. so just wondered: why not to go few steps forward and make it
commercial? you are so talanted, what is stopping you from breaking through?...

EDITING:
i just tried to add few more knobs it to the schematic, and it stopped working correctly. can you please explain
how to add more than 5 knobs?

It's at KVR....and i think 1 other place....can't remember where...
I think pro's should stick to commercial work... where they can answer for what they are creating...
And cowboy's should just be cowboy's...dream of hitting that "best free synth top 100" list...
and be content with that... :D
kortezzzz wrote:what is stopping you from breaking through?

Look...i did think about it at one point...
leave the SM version as freebie and take FS version underground...
were lots of things to consider...got lost trying to nut it all out...
Best answer...
Going commercial is a distraction to creative process.

Synth is also not ready....
Concrete slab only just got laid(timing)
Frameworks going up now (optomization/preset update)
Then i can start building again like normal..
will have extra room for another 500,000 parts too...
room for heaps of AI that actually does something usefull :D
Thats what it feels like here....pre-production...... :?...it's a wierd synth

Good luck with the synth, man. I think that going commercial is no so bad. it can be an important source for motivation.
I also believe you should give it a try when you feel that time has come and you passed the post-production step.

useful like... controlling F-16?

...it's a wierd synth

so... it needs matching weird buyers. aren't we talking about 99% of the VST consumers here?...

please billv, check up if can do something about adding more than 5 knobs to your radio button schematic.
i tried to add 4 more buttons, and it doesn't works.

THANKKKKKKKSSSSS!!!!
