Quilcom ASS showing as FX not Synth in Cakewalk
Hi,
Fantastic plugins!
I have just one question please - I have tried using Quilcom ASS in the latest Cakewalk, and it is listed under FX as opposed to a synth - is this correct as I was expecting a synth?
I checked the user guide and couldn't see anything relating to the above, so advance aplogies if I missed anything.
Thanks

Thank you! And welcome to the forum.
It needed to be exported as an effect because it has an audio input as well as MIDI. For CW by Bandlab you need to change it to synth in the plugin manager then restart CW. Then you can add it as an instrument. Then you split the track into audio and MIDI parts.
The audio input was inspired by the Minimoog which had an audio input so you could pass it through the filter and in this case the “analogue” effects.
If you don’t need that audio here’s a plugin version without the audio input so that might be more convenient for you.

Hi,
Thank you for the quick reply / solution.
That version works perfectly as I had hoped!
Thanks again.
