System Exclusive Message
Hello DSP Forum -
Total newbie here. I'm using FL Studio 11 and in learning process whilst I play around with recording techniques.
I have a Roland VK7 (Hammond B-3 imitator with midi) that uses System Exclusive messages for a few of its
features. In my case, I want to control a Leslie speaker rotary sound, that uses two buttons: one is speed (fast/slow)
and the other is brake that slowly stops the spinning effect.
I've tried recording those buttons in automation, but not being standard midi Control messages I'm sure FL Studio has no idea what's going on when I press those buttons. From what I've read it's a lot of string info that I know nothing about. Would I add a module that responds to those buttons and writes it's own string, or do I need to program that in. I wouldn't know where to begin, so I thought I might post this in Forum to get a kick start on my use of Flowstone.
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving, and I'd certainly be very thankful for any help you folks can offer.
Sincerely - TheProf
