Suggestion - Open with Template
Hi,
Really enjoying FS3 so far - as well as the 'headline' features, i have been finding little improvements all over the place.
Now that I've seen the power of the Ruby primitives, it brings to minds an idea that I had to add to the FS application startup options.
I often find that when I want to quickly test out an idea, that more time is spent fiddling with audio drivers, test signal generators etc. than checking out my idea. So I have a handful of files that I use as templates - say, with scope and signal generators already there, or maybe a collection of favourite Ruby 'library' classes.
It would be great if there were an option to load such a template in addition to the other startup options - and it could be done so that the file retained it's "new file" status, so that you got a "Save as..." dialogue instead of accidentally overwriting a beautifully arranged template because you forgot to write protect it!

All schematics/modules I post are free for all to use - but a credit is always polite!

Ah, of course, very neat - can't believe that never occurred to me in all that time on SM!

I've never actually used it, but thought about it to extend the Toolbox.
