DMX Lightsoftware Test
Hello!
I'm busy to create a DMX Lightsoftware at the Moment.
Loads of Ruby Objects and an a complete script-command-engine - known like in VirtualDJ - Keep it easy but powerful.
At the Moment we are testing the Base-Engine that moves all the fixure.
At the Moment the Software is not done complete - And it may take a lokng time until it is done. But to Show you something i did a Video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CbbSCG8cRWo
Fixture:
6x Showtec Indigo 4500
2x GLP Impression
So it was not something big (they had too less Power only 16 Ampere)- i hope nextime i'm able to get some vids with some bigger Setup
Regards

Re: DMX Lightsoftware Test
Of corse i'm verry surprised of the result of yesterday
Making a light Software does not able you to see it until you are on the Events - And getting about 50.000€ for some interestring Light ^^
Problem is the Price her - i'm glad that i found a Company that suports me with ther fixtures otherwise this would not be possible - To get a Feeling:
This were 2 GLP Impression:
http://www.thomann.de/at/glp_impression_120_rz.htm
6 Showtec Indigo 4500 (Those are not sold anymore so i took a similar)
http://www.thomann.de/at/showtec_indigo_5500.htm
And as you see this is nothing cheap anymore (any i thought my pioneer CDJs where expensive )
Regards

Re: DMX Lightsoftware Test
Audio and that sort of multimedia hardware was always absurdly expensive as far I remember, at least in relation to poorer Countries where earnings/incomes are low. But if you spent some time on learning electronics (that was my education) - you would discover what you really pay for. And you would know how to make it cheaper, which is sometimes very useful skill. But in richer Countries on the other hand - I guess it's easier to find a sponsor/supporter. Most important in all of this, is the general mood and flow. If things go easy and friendly, then it does not matter how much it costs - you always have what you need.

Re: DMX Lightsoftware Test
The schematic is slow when it comes to Pushing track numbers into the 'Track Play Order Queue' - this must be improved on and is most probably due to the presence of the 2000 mSec Event Delay module - but without it I don't get the schematic to function without experiencing some other problems.
