Exclusionary Switch/Selector (3-Way Button Switch)
Here's a simple example that's probably been done before. 3 buttons, but no more than one can be "on" at a time. It's similar to a 3-way switch, except technically it's 4-way, since there is an all-off state. It's all green and an easy concept to follow/modify. Also easy to expand with more buttons.
Edit: changed to a proper indexed output.

Great example. Thanks.
It's biggest benefit: Unlike other green based radio buttons around, this one stores presets correctly!

It is helpful whenever you have to repeatedly step through some kind of list, switch selectors in a fixed manor, etc.

Ah, probably. I couldn't figure out what he/she/it was trying to say anyways.
