Ventilator: High Frequency, Pressure-Limited

Postby FluxCapacitance » Sun Aug 24, 2014 6:23 am

After spending the first half of this year learning Ruby and playing with FS, I was able to start on a functioning ventilator prototype later this summer. Now that I have it working pretty good, I would be happy to have you guys critique the FS side of things, so I can have something well-tuned.

I'd like to redo the entire project using good "Trog" practices :ugeek: and better hardware. I don't trust the windows timer, and will probably have to work towards a more embedded solution. Until then, I'll post my instructable below. It has an embedded video of the device running.

Flowstone is pretty amazing. I was able to get this going in no time.

Very interesting. It seems you're trying to advance medicine, and yet all I can think of is how gorgeous that GUI is. Nice job. :)

I made the background bitmap using Blender. I was listening to the Tron soundtrack and got a little carried away. 8-)

I needed a high-contrast GUI that worked well at night. A lot of ventilators like Siemens or Drager have interfaces that are way too bright for night time use.
