Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Re: Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Knob Maker
In my opinion this is a masterwork! So many options. Preset knobs, knob type, render function and so much more. When the knob is made you just save it and use it. You really must take a look at this one!
Spogged: Nothing. This is the most recent version I found and I saw quite a few earlier iterations.

Tile game
This shows again just what is possible with this great program.
This is the classic tile game where you get to the image (which you can load) by moving one tile at a time. You can control the difficulty with a knob that sets the amount of shuffling and also press a button to reveal the target image as long as the button is held.
So clever!

Re: Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Drag and drop effects chain ordering
This remarkable schematic allows you to re-order an effects chain grahically from the UI.
You just drag on an effects front panel and move it up and down to re-order the chain and the display of the effects rack modules. So the chain sequence of the audio path alters to suit the rack order seen by the user.
Spogged: I haven't tested the chaining and I haven't tried altering the number of effects modules. There are instructions inside the modules and it looks pretty clear.
There are 2 FSMs below. The one with the example was released some time before the update. The update is only for the main engine so I included both here.
Author: Unknown but this looks like Trogluddite's work to me. Please say if it's not and you wish to take the credit.

MIDI-based pitch shifter
This schematic contains 2 pitch shifters.
For me the more interesting one allows you to play MIDI notes (monophonic) and the pitch will be shifted according to the MIDI note number last pressed. This is not based on your ability to sing because the pitching is done for you and in real time too. So you can play your voice using the MIDI keyboard!
This isn't a perfect system but it's great fun if you work within the limitations. Finally I can hold a tune!

Criss Cross synth
I'm not sure how to describe this! It seems to select between various waves based on LFO settings. There's no MIDI control, it just sits there and makes interesting noises as you play with it's knobs and controls and produces a mesmerising and rather clever display of what might, or might not, be going on.
Listen, just try it and see what you can make of it
Spogged: Just added an ASIO out prim to test it. This is just crying out for a Preset Manager...

Re: Synthmaker Greatest Hits
Pitch shifters with many options
2 Pitch shifters clearly based on a post above but very much extended in scope. In addition to MIDI control there is formant shifting and, for manual shift, quantisation to nearest note values entered on the on-screen keyboard. In this way you can sing roughly in tune and the system will correct to the scale or range of notes you want [*cough* Autotune].
Suddenly I'm a pro!
There are 2 versions here, a mono and, believe it or not, a polyphonic version which allows me to sing chords as I play a keyboard (from my one voice) in real time. Unbelievable gentlemen

Array maker
Simple and elegant way to fill an array based on whatever maths formula you make. You can decide on the number of elements for e.g. sample size.
There is a display of the resulting array as a waveform. Look inside the Fill Array module for where to put your formula.

Yup, PitchShiftr3 and PitchShiftr3p are both mine. Early works, I must add, not entirely free from clicks etc. and not optimized. I am considering to post an update.

Thought so!
I edited the post.
Martin, this was a great project and what we already have there is pretty damn impressive. Did you get a lot of kudos back in the SM days for this? You should have. Or was everyone quiet like they are these days?
If you can improve on it further I'd be even more impressed mate. Seriously impressed.
Cheers

Hello Gang,
YES, I agree with Spogg, I also would really like to see a nice optimized pitchshifter, if you have the time.
Later then, BobF.....
