The Quilcom Cabsynth

Postby Spogg » Fri Apr 28, 2023 2:49 pm

I had a suggestion to make a guitar cabinet simulator which had controllable parameters as opposed to being Impulse Response based.

The Quilcom Cabsynth is the result and, because I’m not a guitarist, I have no idea if it’s going to be of any use! Even if it’s a lemon it was interesting to look into the topic.

For the power matching I’ve used Maik and Martin’s oversampling DSP at 4x and it makes a tremendous difference to any aliasing, so I must thank them both, and especially Martin for his additional development of the principle.
