Help - SampleRate Problem

Postby carlbeat » Sat Jan 23, 2016 11:33 am

Hi guys,
I've got a question to you if you could help me:
Everytime when I'm using a reverb module, like the reverb module from the flowstone toolbox, it works okay at 44,1 kHz. But it works significantly different at different sample rates. It’s full and lush at 44100, and very weak at 96kHz. It pretty much doesn’t exist as 192kHz. What can I do?
Can someone post a schematic with an reverb that works the same at every sample rate?

Best regards
carlbeat

The reverb is a variation of free-verb. It works by adding prime-length delay lines into the stream. because the delays are sample-based, the reverb sounds differently at different sample-rates. Unfortunately, I'm not aware of different reverbs in Flowstone...

Carl, I found this freeverb variant from the old SM days. It uses SR dependent prime numbers for the various delays, which suggests that it might solve your problem.
