Switch between FM algorithms

Postby qnko9s » Wed Dec 09, 2015 12:41 pm

Hey everyone,

I am making an FM synthesizer that is based on Ableton's operator
(You can see it here)

I am trying to make a switch that will allow me to switch between different algorithms. Therefore, I can have one modulator and 3 carriers/ or 3 modulators and 1 carrier, etc.

I am wondering - what would be the best way to switch between these algorithms and where in my signal path does the switch come in?

I have inserted a screenshot of my wonderful FM synth.

All help will be greatly appreaciated :) :D

Hi qnko9s

I'm really looking forward to seeing this, assuming you intend to upload it!

You might like to check out my own FM monster:

You can look inside and find the method I used to replicate the DX7 algorithms, and provide a user algorithm too.

Good luck with your project :D

Cheers
