Hi nix .... good to see ya here !!! :D

Yeah ... I'm seeing the benefits of having vector knobs as an option. I've been scanning the dual forums trying to see what's already been created, and pulling various ideas together.

I just looked into the 1st knob you posted ... oh my, most every element custom

I was hoping to stay closer to the 'established' designs, and ended up with the model that I first posted as it seem to fit the common consensus with the ability to customize. In particular, it was re-sizable and I could easily change the 'steps' amount or go continuous. It also played well with NuBeats 'Multi-Preset' module.

I did find some components from one of the 'toolbox' kits that I was able to integrate for the 'triangle' pointer.

I tried to get the surround 'dots' into this ... but its not correct.

Here's what I have at the moment.

This is just the basic knob. It would be desired for it to work [layout] as automatic as possible  I realize [with my efforts] that this is no easy task. [at least at my current programming level].

But this seems a reasonable model that has similar build design of several other knobs. Hopefully this can be something that can easily be used and have a familiar look inside.

Knob design .... oh the joy  but we need them all the time :|

Been testing the triangle marker ... seems to be behaving itself with regard to position. It stays relative to the window resizing. The size of the pointer doesn't scale ... not a big issue at this time.

My efforts with the 'Ring of Dots' has not been solved. although in my attempts to inject values to understand the module design ... I've stumbled onto some unusual graphic displays. I think one of them was a furry ring

I'm working on a vector knob too.
Just haven't got around to resizing yet.
Maybe you'll like it.
I am willing to tackle any issues you have.

Always look forward to your postings !

BTW ... after more research ...

it appears that the much of the vector knob I've been working from is based on the 'audiooak_module_pak'.

I don't recall the author name, but it would seem he had a 'regarded' status. Even still, the current design MAY have been modified to some extent.

I'm considering going back to the 'audiooak' components, and assemble a knob from the kit [as there doesn't seem to be a pre-built one - just the parts]. :| It DOES seem all the parts are tied in vectorally and have connected resizing.

Anyway ... just looking to get a solid, clean vector knob that is flexible and simply ... heh ... who doesn't !!!

cheers !
