"Plugin can't be found or opened"

Postby Perfect Human Interface » Thu Aug 21, 2014 2:00 am

Hi all, just wanted to ask real quick to see if anyone has encountered this problem.

I've only observed this to happen in FL Studio with "Fruity"-format plugin exports (from the FL-native version of Flowstone). I'm just looking to see if it's happened outside of this setting.

Very simply, sometimes plugins made in Flowstone will fail to load for certain people. This has happened to me with a plugin made by someone else, and has happened to someone else with a plugin made by myself. I don't know of any reason why this would happen and can only assume it's a bug in Flowstone itself.

Thanks in advance.

Hmm, the only time i see this message, is when i try to open FL Flowstone in FL Studio x64. I guess that FL plugins made with FL Flowstone won't load in FL Studio x64 either.

Maybe your users are a victim of the above?

Hey, so someone figured out that the .dll file needs to be in its own folder in the Plugins/Fruity/Effects folder. A bit of testing on my own determined that the folder also needs to be the same name as the .dll file. A bit odd really. I wonder if that's Flowstone's fault or FL's.

You're right they won't. I don't think this is what anyone was running into but I did forget to point that out, so thanks for that.
