EDIT:
i've had another look at this. I hadn't been using the watch function, but seeing your examples tried using it one one of my midi arrays.

it appears that the watch function, if used incorrectly or in an incorrect position, will display movements into and or out of the array rather that the current array components.

I made 2 examples on your schematic to show this in different ways, with notes held array and with a simple button.

I'm not sure what is happening here exactly, but it is worth noting that the outputs all display the correct values, even if watch isnt.
