I see! Thanks for helping me understanding dsp code. Now that I see that a timer would be based on sample rate, it totally makes sense, because it contains a time component (for example 44100 per second) Also I understand now, why that windowing wouldn't work well. And thanks for the keyword "Schmitt trigger", I will have to read it more than once, but I already get the concept!

Seems to work quite well. Unfortunatly, limit band and gating the input signal without any visual proper instruments (i.e. a Spectrum analyser) make the whole things hard to do.
