For sure! Yes. That's right. Just hilarious sock jokes. A totally innocent thread about funny hosiery, that's all. Rumours about the "frightening truth" are just fake news; it's all completely and utterly childish fun, and absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with my nefarious plans to... erm... oooh....
So... Yes... Sock jokes; they're, erm... darned good!

This is the future and could be a good investment.
So I’d like to get a toe into that market.

We're very lucky that DSPr are well-heeled enough to foot the bill for hosting all this leg-pulling and spinning of yarns!

The phrase "Put a sock in it!" comes to mind, but now I must wonder how much sound attenuation is provided per sock?
May socks be an economical replacement for sound deadening foam? A few peers of mine assembled pop filters out of socks before we had the money to put down on real ones
I wonder if placing a sock over a leslie speaker horn provides the same mellowing effect (for treble-heavy aftermarket drivers) as stuffing a cotton ball up in there
I must stop before we suddenly endure sock shortages from industrious DIY engineers paneling their walls with socks

For some reason, I'm picturing a panicked Mr Humphries being swarmed by hordes of sock-seekers:
"Captain Peacock, I am most definitely NOT FREE!"

We have to train ourselves so that we can improvise on anything... a bird, a sock, a fuming beaker! This, too, can be music. Anything can be music. -Biff Debris

Very funny and entertaining thread, although I don‘t get all of it. Guess my English socks ... uhm, well.
