dunno if it's related with this beta:

after a crash (could not reproduce it now) a left over recovery file let all double clicked .FSM again crashes on load...

Loaded via FS all was fine... after deleting buggy *(recovered)pid=nnn.fsm => all normal again :)

MyCo wrote:Another option (which is actually easier to handle) would be like this:
1. open Regedit and export the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DSPRobotics\FlowStone to some file
2. install 3.0.9 to a different program directory (so you don't overwrite the old version)
3. open Regedit and export the key HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\DSPRobotics\FlowStone to some other file

To switch versions you just double click on the corresponding regedit export file.

I chose this option, however after switching to 3.0.9 and back to 3.0.8 I get this:

Please help!
I really appreciate the beta and generally support the approach. However, next time please provide a proven recipe for use in parallel with last stable FS release. ;) Thanks again! :D

well, then you probably have the wrong regedit export clicked before switching. It's not that I just made this up... I use that workaround myself

Important part is actually this key:
"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\DSPRobotics\FlowStone\Install Folder"

You might need the right windows user permissions to update the registry, maybe that's the problem. Just check the key if it's pointing to the right directory / check the FS help dialog if you're actually running the right version.

I get that sometimes in 3.08.1

Thanks, MyCo. It does not work for me, though. :( There is no FlowStone install folder entry entry in my registry to begin with, neither for FS 3.0.8 nor for FS 3.0.9 (which, of course, are installed in separate directories). Somehow FS always grabs the 3.0.9 Ruby library regardless of which FS version I use (the version used manifests itself, among other things. by the presence or absece of code line numbers). I can't wait to ckeck out all the cool new features, however i need to have FS 3.0.8 available for current projects. :x

Maybe you'll have to use this key:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\DSPRobotics\FlowStone

Bingo! It's there! And there is one Install Folder specified, which is the FS 3.0.8 folder. That explains it. So how do I add the FS 3.0.9 Install folder? I did choose a different folder during FS 3.0.9 installation. The 3.0.9 folder has been created, and Flowstone.exe and all the other files are there. Apparently the installer did not create a proper entry in my registry. :?: :?
