Silly Gui question.
I have some Sketchup skills, but minimal Photoshop skills and I am now trying to make a gui.
How can I maintain the right grid size between for example Photoshop and Flowstone?
Guess its harder for Sketchup ..unless i figure out some grid trick.
Might just be a brainfart but i know little about pixels .
Any good Gui design practices are welcome

Re: Silly Gui question.
By default Flowstone GUI Grid is 8x8pixels per 1x1grid. It may be different when zooming in/out.

I believe that zooming is just for the display output, so everything just gets zoomed equally but the relative sizes are maintained. Or...?

Re: Silly Gui question.
Thanks , will test this a bit
I guess the grid cannot be changed/snap disabled or knobs nudged into place ?

Re: Silly Gui question.
this is where I get confused , I might make a mockup ...in Flowstone , arranging knobs etc .
Then I need to export that to Photoshop and maintain scale.
As it stands I do this by making a screen shot , unless there is a better way ?
This is where the grid changes according to zoom level.
I can sort of make this work with careful cropping and placing but would like to know the proper way to maintain sync/snap/grid.

In Options|Schematic you can change the default grid size in terms of pixels and this will effectively zoom in/out.
Snapping is fixed for schematic elements but for knobs on a front panel, or any other graphic element, you can press the control key and drag to accurately position elements without snapping. You can also lasso items to select more than one and move them all together.
Just have a play!

I don't know the "proper" way but here's an alternative method. This uses the "View" signal for a module and saves it as a bmp or jpg etc., depending on the filename extension you specify. I've put this method into an ADSR module to demonstrate and for you to play with.

Re: Silly Gui question.
Bit confused , when I change the layout of the ADSR it does not update in the "save bitmap" dialog.
I would like to make this into a module that would work for the top page to capture the main layout.
Seems I could do that if it would update
