GUI's
Hello gang,
Ok this is probably a really stupid idea, but would it be possible to make generic GUI's for us that are really bad at it?
Not really sure what it would even consist of, maybe a kind of kit with backgrounds, cool looking knobs and switches, face plates, and so on. I really do not know how the experts at this do it. Any other ideas, takers on this, or just forget my crazy ramblings.

Good idea - i am missing some gui with advanced properties in FS.
There were a lot in SynthMaker - but since there is ruby they got missing in ruby.
It should also be a little standardized in basic things like preset, midi cc, min max and maybe the gui in ruby.
i'd like the idea and help i i can.

But please rate and comment. Maybe in 8 days or so.
Do people want a code repository as well? I could set that up for people if they would like. It's not a problem and easy to do. With the new flowstone version, the sky is practically the limit.
Things look very positive for the future of this product.

I'll get started on making a code repository product up and running so that contributors can sign up and get that up and running. Probably .zip only though and only .png, .jpg. I also am unsure as to whether or not it will allow adding elements by url.
But I will try to incorporate that feature as it is intuitive, especially on the go.
When I get it up I will add almost a hundred or so projects that are useful. Maybe there will be categories also so as to seperate code from design elements.

I'm facing pretty tough times, but do follow the forum on a daily basis.
I do feel that I cannot contribute much to this good place in terms of
programming and anything technical. I lack the time and nerves to get
into FS in that respect.
You, Bob, are someone who provides me with a lot of stuff that I do
appreciate. So: chance for payback.
At the same time, I do believe that there is no universally agreed formula
for "good" design. We all may agree to disagree on this point.
Generic stuff looks like just that: generic.
Kevin has a very good point about the technical way Spogg sets his things up.
It makes it easy to re-skin his recent work.
I also do believe that each synth should have its own unique looks,
which might well be derived from historic antecedents or what one finds
on the net. But it should be uniquely assembled, purposefully and mindfully.
So, if you have something which you can and want to explain what it should
look like, what it means, I'm here for you, Bob and others, to provide input,
my vernacular input of things which I do believe look right in a particular
desired context.
That written, I do wish you all a pleasant Sunday evening.
