==========
INSTALLING THE VSTI PLUGIN
There are 3 different sizes of VSTi Plugins: Large, Medium and Small.
Each size has a complement of 4 x64 (2 ea. 32bit and 64bit) VSTi
and 1 x86 (32bit) VSTi.
One of each different size of ONLY one type is allowable.
CAUTION! DOT NOT INSTALL TWO SIZES OF THE SAME TYPE.
EXAMPLE: LG.*.VST3 & MD.*.VST3 IS NOT ACCEPTABLE!
IT IS ACCEPTABLE TO USE ONE OF EACH SIZE OF ANY OF THE 4 TYPES:
32BIT
drmzatron.dll (x86) [v3.0.6x86_32bit Folder]
or drmzatron.dll (x64)
drmzatron.vst3
AND 64BIT
drmzatron (64).dll
drmzatron (64).vst3
==========
==========
USING THE STANDALONE EXECUTABLE
After downloading the drmzatron.zip file and extracting files from same
open the drmzatron.exe folder to utilize the standalone executable ...
Use the Mouse to 'Right Button Click' on the program and select a larger size
for easier viewing and operation of the controls.
For optimum size select 'Full Screen' and then 'Fit Screen' to view properly.
==========
==========
GRAPH GRID ORIENTATION
The Drum kit Graph Grid has the 'midimap' listing for each percussion instrument on the left side.
NOTE:
Drum kit Percussion Instruments are identified by their respective midimap
(*number) = piano keyboard musical note.
This tuning is based upon the GM (general midimap) reference.
Starting from the bottom and progressing upwards the Drum kit Graph Grid is 'tuned' from
(*27) = Eb0 to (*88) = E5
The description for each individual percussion instrument on the left is based upon this.
Drum kit MUSICAL NOTE TUNING
Different drumkit sfzs can vary in tuning for their individual instruments.
This will show non-matching instrument name/tuning on the graph.
Refer to the midimap reference for each different drumkit sfz for assistance.
DRUMKIT SFZ MIDDLE C CAN VARY FROM C3 TO C5 OR EVEN AN ARBITRARY PIANO KEYBOARD NOTE.
USE THE SAMPLER OCT/SEMI (OCTAVE/SEMIITONE) 'DETUNER' TO COMPENSATE.
==========
==========
LOADING A SOUNDFONT SFZ FILE
Drumzatron utilizes a Soundfont SFZ file for the graph grid sampler
NOTE: It is necessary to load a drumkit SFZ soundfont into the sampler (lower left corner) at startup.
If a Soundfont SFZ file is not already loaded ...
from one of the drumkit soundfont folders provided in the additional download ...
The Drumkit MIDI Map on the left side of the sequencer is based on the General Midi Standard Drumkit only.
Drumkit soundfont sfzs are in the pwedrmsfzs subfolder.
Stereo Drumkit soundfonts sfzs are in the pwedrmstsfzs subfolder.
INCLUDED EXAMPLE SOUNDFONT SFZ FILE TO LOAD ---
Drumkit Graph Grid Sequencer Soundfont:
(4.) kngmelecst2.sfz
The Drumkit SFZ files provide three different types of playback duration.
Filename: *1.sfz --- 'no_loop' version (matches note length).
Filename: *2.sfz --- 'one_shot' version (plays sustained full length for a more natural sound).
Filename: *3.sfz --- 'continuous_loop' version (loops continuously).

Re: Drumzatron SFZ Sequencer
Ok, loaded the standalone, clicked middle-C to start the Preset 1 sequence...sounds good. Middle-C again stops it, I can start and stop at will.
Stopped it, switched to Preset 2, clicked middle-C, sequencer cycles but no sound. Stopped it, switched back to Preset 1, started it, still no sound. To get it to play again, I need to reload the exe. Am I missing something?

I only include a preset manager as an executable addon. Its functionality varies dependent on the version of OS and FStone installed. DAWs in general consider it a 'dunsel' ...
Also, the off/on Keylock setting for sequencer start/stop may vary from DAW, DAW, DAW to DO, DO, DONT.
EXAM;LE: FL Studio 20 Drumzatron.dll does not require turning off the Keylock for sequencer start/stop after a start ... Bremmers MultitrackStudio does ...

Really nice work, I look forward to playing with it.

Re: Drumzatron SFZ Sequencer
I finally got to have a quick look at this.
VERY clever stuff inside!
But I was puzzled that when I put entries on the bottom lane I didn’t hear a Bass drum. I did load the sfz and I think I followed the instructions, but keep in mind I’ve only tried it in FS so far.
What am I not getting?
Cheers

Re: Drumzatron SFZ Sequencer
The names on the left don't match up with the sounds being played except (maybe) after the initial load, when it's using the sample arrays that were saved with the FSM. Not to mention that which sounds you hear change depending on which key you use to start/stop the sequencer. It's almost like the start/stop key is transposing the preset sequence up or down.Spogg wrote:But I was puzzled that when I put entries on the bottom lane I didn’t hear a Bass drum. And yes, that's using it inside FS, since I can't read anything in the GUI at the default standalone zoom level.

Re: Drumzatron SFZ Sequencer
If you're talking about the zoom control inside FS, I did that. My point is that the standalone version is unreadable on anything remotely resembling a high-resolution display.pwesynthmaker wrote:Use the zoom level to enlarge for better visibility.

...which enlarged the drum sound names on the left, but nothing else. Fine, I'll deal with that.pwesynthmaker wrote:Just increased the vertical graph size ... should work for 20/20 ...
Moving on, I'm still unclear on how the drum sounds map onto the piano roll. It looks like each row of the roll should correspond to the name on the left at zero transposition. That's certainly not what I'm hearing.
Also it's not obvious what starting with a different key besides middle-C does to that mapping, besides further confusing the already tenuous relationship between sequencer rows and drum sounds. (Actually, I have no idea what function the keyboard performs in the first place: given that there's a piano-roll sequencer and transposition controls, it's redundant and could be replaced with play/pause/stop buttons.)
