I have found that if I add the audio driver selector in the MENU of a standalone .exe, then it is not needed to restart

That's an interesting observation, thanks. I must admit, on the rare occasions that I make .exes, I don't usually enable the menu (the modules/primitives can be used to restore previous driver settings e.g. from a preferences file).

I would like to have the exe frame without the frame at all, (and do the restart), but I don't think it is possible.
