The Quilcom CHAOS: Chaos from a Quilcom
Hello me lovelies!
This Quilcom explores my own flavour of chaotic behaviour in oscillators. I was inspired to look into this after coming across the free Pendulate mono synth from Dan Gillespie and available from Eventide. I’ve included links and some PDFs in the download if you’re interested, but the background is very maths-heavy and also includes electronic oscillators.
I believe my approach produces results appropriate to the principles involved, but it’s not a copy of Dan’s system. If anyone has more information or has made a different or similar system I would love to see it shared here. As far as I’m aware, Pendulate (and its big brother paid-for poly version) is the only other synth with chaotic aspects.
Here’s my YouTube video:

Hello Spogg,
All I can say is , another really great synth, I like everything about it, layout, sound, and even the color.
Take care, BobF.....

Thank you Bob
I finally took note of what tulamide reminded me I should do about using orange as a “signal” colour, and I do think it all looks a bit “calmer” now.
Cheers!

Hey, great work!
I've been mucking about in VCV Rack recently, and there's some new modules that feature chaotic attractors, like the Rossler attractor, as a basis for a VCO.. always have been fascinated with chaotic systems.

We have to train ourselves so that we can improvise on anything... a bird, a sock, a fuming beaker! This, too, can be music. Anything can be music. -Biff Debris
