The Quilcom UNISON: explore the sound of unison oscillators
Hey, I've done another Quilcom!
Here's the Quilcom Unison.
I was experimenting with the sound of unison oscillators and was blown away by what could be achieved especially if you listen on headphones. So I decided to make this to explore the possibilities. It's best suited to pad sounds but by playing around with the oscillators many classic sounds are possible to achieve.
There are 4 identical generators. Each unison generator uses 7 oscillators. You can spread the phase and detuning symetrically around the 'centre' oscillator and similarly the stereo pan across the field. If you set the width to 0 the cancellation results can create a whole range of source sounds too, when you adjust the phase and detune.
If you just play with one generator, and I beg you to try it on headphones, I think you may be impressed by the effect!
I've made a few presets to get you going (I hope...)
I always say this but... please, any type of feedback is incredibly welcome.
Cheers
Spogg
EDIT: v1.001 fixes compatibility with FS4 alpha. ADSR ASM error: Changed xmm41 to xmm4 in all ADSRs. The zip contains the v1.001 FSM (3.06) and 32 & 64 bit exports:

I'm sure (without having downloaded it) it will be both, stunning - and too much cpu load for my poor old little pc

Hello Spogg,
YES, another REALLY cool module (Synth). I like how you decided to use wave draw oscillators, way to go. I am getting some very cool sounds. And like you said with headphones it sounds out of this world. Keep up the great work.
Later then, BobF.....

I hope not. You can get a great feel for it just by using 1 generator and muting the others. The mute function I use these days uses selectors which turn off the CPU for the module. I hope you can at least try it!

Does this work with the FS version that came with FL Studio 11?
Thanks anyway Spogg.

Short answer is I don't know! I have the stand-alone full version 3.08.1
BobF has the FL Studio version I think so maybe he could answer that. I know he liked it so I'm assuming it should work!

Re: The Quilcom UNISON: explore the sound of unison oscillat
I am amazed at the sound of which can be obtained in this synthesizer.
It definitely goes to the list of my most used.
I beg your approval to make a different interface design to make it easier to work))
But another question:
How to optimize the filters? At their inclusion increases dramatically the load on the processor.
and how to switch between parallel and serial connection of the final filter?
Thank you in advance)

Hey StereoSpace! Thanks for your kind comments.
Please go ahead and do whatever you want with this. I'd be interested to see the result but there's no obligation to upload it, just have fun! I just make stuff for the craic, a hobby, and I know the GUI's are always lacking but that's not my main interest.
Regarding the filters, I just tend to use anything I find that works. If you ask Martin Vinacek he may be able to offer optimisations; he's the man for filters believe me. As for the routing why not just use some Selector Prims and a switch to select serial/parallel? I tried out both routings and some of my stuff has them in parallel and some in series so it's a good idea maybe to offer such a possibility.
Cheers
