Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
Re: Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
Great work everyone, this is an essential tool. Still working on this?
I came across the advanced poly porta at the blog, and posted a bug here: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=3556
now i see its related to this post.
Hope you guys come up with a 100% working version soon.

Re: Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
Hello, guys 'n girls!
I've stucked into the fact that I can't make my LFO's running freely using this great thing.
It's really great because at least the oscillators now can run freely. But not LFO. Why? I'm not a coder
Currently I'm making the synth that is pretty much close to be completed (not mentioning few optimizations that need to be made). But not these LFO This make me a bit sick.
Yeah, I can nail it with external LFO's in my DAW.... But it's not cool and will not able to cover everything quickly. Every good patch will be linked with tons of different setting for LFO's in DAW. It's really slow...
Maybe I'm doing something wrong here? Can you check it?
P.S. I'm not panicking... But actually these things (like "clocks" and free running oscs and lfos) are very important for any synth creating editor program. I was really surprised that it wasn't solved for few years in the core.
For me it's more important than having a possibility to export to VST3. FS Authors... If you're ignoring such things, I think you're stepping behind other competitors that make alike products.

Re: Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
The problem is that the wireless links are not connected in the Last Value Store V1.0.3 module.

I didn't really study your schematic but look closely at the wireless connections inside free running tool. Connect them like the original example, and hopefully you can make it work.

Oh, yes! It was really it! )
Thank you guys that you've pointed out this silly bug of me! ))
Naively I've thought that wireless links works globally. But these things has big limitations although these are handy in some cases.
Probably tommorow after work (it's night here) I'll finish my synth and make a .dll for people here.

Re: Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
Hey guys
I think the 'Last Value Store V1.0.3' module inside both 'free phase run' and 'poly porta' causes the plugin to crash somehow (unexpected times, sometimes memory access error, etc. Using 3.0.5 here).
Can anyone investigate and come up with a fix or alternative stable solution maybe?

Prototype Free running poly oscillators
Just a few months ago I was right where you are now. Good luck with your project. You'll find plenty of support here on these forums. Any thoughts on a theme yet?

Re: Prototype - Free running poly oscillators
ok, in the last scheme of Kirill_Neoris I corrected some connections, and the only problem I found is that when setting the voices limit to 1 in the Multy component, the LFO freezes when playing with the keys:
when pressing one key by one, at times the LFO freezes, and if it is held down in that moment of freezing, and other keys are pressed, the LFO continues to function,
and the funny thing is that by increasing the number of voices in the Multy midi component
the LFO works without freezing,
now, I do not know about how to correct that problem,
but, I think it may be related to Flowstone interpreting the LFO as a voice that adds to the OSC making the OSC have priority over the LFO and because of this it makes the LFO not play when the number of voices is established in 1 ?
I will stay tuned to this thread.
