If you've a mind to - take a look at the most recent posts over at the German website Music-Society regarding this (just search for "k brown synths" - it should be in the top 4 or 5 results); they seem to think that this naming of parameters isn't necessary just to do presets - only for DAW automation (I'm not even sure I know what that means).
FWIW.

I am a member of Music Society  and have the same username overthere.
In my experiences with Reaper, there is no problem constructing presets in your plugins. I save them with the Reaper presetmanager and they recall identically afterwards. That said, I would not spend time constructing an intern presetmanager for your plugins, because all modern DAWs have one built-in nowadays. The presetsaving has nothing to do with the naming of the parameters as far as I know, The namingissue is important for the automation in DAW's. If I remember correct, DAW's like Cubase do not have such a workaround as I described in Reaper. Automation is for me and many others very important while working with the synths and without it, they feel a bit broken and I think many will not pick up your plugins, just for that reason.

I'm sure all here will appreciate your efforts. Now begs the question how/where to post your versions. I was thinking about trying to get maybe one a day done and putting in dropbox folders of the same names as the originals, but with the suffix 'p' (for presets). For example, "Chorg PS-20p".

I can upload those @ music-society for example or I have a google drive account which works similar to Dropbox.
What about the suffix 'a' for 'automation" ? :)

Since you're going into these schematics, it would be cool if you could do what I'm going to do, which is look out for any de-zippers that have 'green' (float) inputs rather than stream inputs; just a matter of deleting them and replacing with the standard ones that come in the toolbox. Spogg noticed some glitchy behaviour caused by these and replaced them in the synths he worked on.

Is is possible to post a screenshot as an example ?

Thanks so much for 'pitching in'.

It's my way of saying thanks for all the plugins you offered us for free!

"a' it is!

Bluesmoke over at Music-Society found I'd missed a couple of param names in OB-2, so I just replaced it in the 'OB-2b' dropbox folder, so you'll want to re-download it.

I think the SM internal preset manager is there more for using the synths in stand-alone mode; SM gives you the option of saving things as a vst or a standalone. If the Preset Manager is visible on the GUI panel, in a standalone you have a way of saving and loading presets, since there is no host to do that. Interesting that the old Synthmaker guides and tutorials don't explain this - very sketchy info. I wonder if the Flowstone documentation is more helpful.

Trying to get any Flowstoners over at Music-Society to help out with this.

Thanks to very helpful info from Bluesmoke, who show me how to use vstHost to display how the parameters show up in DAWs, I was able to clean up all those mis-named and non-functioning entries for OB-2.

File again replaced in the "OB-2b" folder.

Great work K. All parameters have decent names now for OB-2.
I will try to finish of b6 tomorrow and will send it to you for the few parameters I couldn't rename.

Are you working on b6 with SM or FS? - I don't have FS.

I just finished an Automation-friendly clean-up of Matrix-Six1_myOsc.

I am using FS. It takes ages to finish one.
Can you or anyone else give it a look please and complete the last ones?
Most of the parameters are named now, but some of them are not because I was not able to,and the LFO2 rectangle is still missing. I couldn't fix it by copying the LFO1 rectangle, I don't get the positioning right.

Is it possible that those leftover unnamed parameters are created by the infoboxes in the FS project?

Sorry I can't open your .fsm files - I only have Synthmaker. FS will open .osm, but SM won't open .fsm.

Fun, eh?

I'll have a look inside b6, maybe I can figure out what's going on and tell you how fix. If most of the unnamed params are showing up as 'knob', it might be due to unconnected knobs hidden inside functioning knobs (long story).
Sorry I made you such a mess!

k brown

P.S. Just poked around inside b6, and yes there are a bunch of knobs with unconnected knobs inside. Pick any knob at random and keep clicking-in till you get the actual knob module itself. Go into the sub-modules: Knob>Interaction>Knob>Moving Part. Inside the Moving Part sub-module you'll probably see at the lower-left, a blue and white Vector Knob, not connected to anything (If not, keep looking till you find one; most of the knobs have them). If so, before deleting it go back to the knobs top level, right-click on it and select Synchronise All. Then go back in and delete the unconnected Vector Knob. This should wipe it out of all the knobs that have it, but sometimes Synch All doesn't catch them all.

Also be sure to delete the large, unused filter module inside the Filter - you may have to drag the window down to see it; be sure you have the Navigator strip showing at the top (check it in the 'View' tab on the toolbar).

Whew!

No problem at all. Slowly I am getting there.
All parameters are inthere now, but there are some leftovers that I cannot delete.
Can you load the b6a dll in SM or does it not work that way? Or can I save in osm format for you?
How do you that and what is the difference with fsm?

See my appended post above.
No .dlls will not open in FS or SM - they are for use in hosts.
Don't know if FS has the option to save as .osm; - I would doubt it, though. I only had the demo for a week.
