Knob Twiddler wrote:Now after replacing the module with two of the onces you uploaded, it seems to work again, untill I start moving the module to the correct place with the toggle edit panel. When you move it, the mousefocus is no longer on the circle of the module, like it forgets where the circle is positioned. I hope this makes sense to you.

Hi
I had a look and if you drag the XY pad down it becomes overlaid with the "Stream scope" module. So I just dragged the scope module frame downwards on the front panel and now the XY pad works fine. I didn't know what you wanted to do with the scope but here's the "fixed" front panel.

If I misunderstood then please ask again...

Cheers

Indeed, it is the scope that is overlapping and causing the problem.
But that is how K. Brown did it in the first place and how it should be.
Why can they not overlap?

Another question. Is it possible to add parameternames to the X and Y of the module?

Regarding overlapping you could select the scope frame in layout edit mode, right click and select send backwards or send to the back. The x-y should then respond with overlap because it's then on top. If not, select the x-y, right click and select Bring to front. The overlay order is often critical.

If you want to rename the X and Y presets just go into the module's preset module and enter what you want or use a Preset parameters module to allow you to set a prefix.

Wow, this has turned into a group effort. Maybe Spogg can figure this one - after rebuilding the XY using one of the preset-capable ones he supplied, I now have the same problem KT ran into - can't now get the XY to work 'through' the scope, like was possible with the original one; no idea why.

I gave up and (since Voyager didn't have a scope anyway) resized the scope and moved it to the space at the top of Osc1.

The new XY will still need to have it's parameters named properly.

Thanx, all is a bit more clear now. Moving to the back and the front does not fix the problem.
When you load the old osm file into SM, all is fine and after exporting to VST, the scope and XY work.

While naming the automationparameters in FS, there were some prefixes left, that I couldn't delete and find in the file. Now by coincidence, I noticed that they are visible in SM. Is that bug from the export to FS ?

If you give it a try Spogg, can you try on the fsm file from some posts before, because the automationnames are inthere already.

Thanks to Spogg, the following have had their XY pads/Joysticks replaced with ones whose positions will be saved in presets and should also be automatable. I don't have a way to test the automation, so let me know what you find.

- Synthegrated 12A
- Synthegrated 15A
- The Putnie_os
- The Putnie_2s
- The Dodeca 258c
- SystemOne D
- SystemOne E

Sorry but I don't fully understand! Could you upload the 2 files that are different and describe which names are involved please?

I know that some conversions from SM to FS don't fully "transfer" and when I was doing the Greatest Hits topic I had to reject a few that didn't work at all! One issue I had was the Properties View layout got corrupt in some modules. It was not common but I did have that. Also, very occasioanlly, the front panel layout had the odd mis-alignment.
So I wouldn't be surprised if there are other issues that I didn't spot at the time.

Flowstone seems to have incorporated much of the code from Synthmaker but, inevitably, some code must have been enhanced to provide more features and so compatibility was never guaranteed. I guess we're lucky that most stuff does work.

Cheers

KT: Just use the XY and the scope provide in the above zip and it should work fine, because I made this smaller scope to sit in the blank area at the top of Osc1, and not 'in front of' the XY.

This falls firmly into the category of a major re-vamp. I did this one a very long time ago, and knew it needed a lot of work, so didn't include it in the original Bundle.

A spin on the Synton Syrinx, it's main attraction being a very unusual filter arrangement: two Peak filters in parallel that could be connected in series or parallel with a 4-pole LP. Each Peak has independent freq and res controls with LFO and EG mods in common. The LPF has it's own LFO and EG mod controls. The Peaks and the LPF also have separate keyboad tracking. Wow.

The Syrinx had a single two-prong 'touch-pad' in place of bend and mod wheels. So I included sensitivity/destination controls for both bend and mod wheels.

Also the panel can be grey, purple, red, blue or mauve.

Those who've already downloaded CyRinx, re-download it - made some tweaks to the peak filters and the scope.
