Knobman issue

Postby Nickateenbeats » Wed Feb 20, 2019 4:11 am

Ok, to add on to the unending list of questions i have (sorry) this one just might be the most annoying.

Ok...so i downloaded Knobman and loaded up some of bryntes knobs, everything was working fine until it i loaded them into FS and realized the knobs were not rotating.

I went inside the ruby code and changed the (@startangle) to =0, and the (@sweepangle) to =360 but nothing seems to work. Also i am replacing the stock knob bitmap. All i get is a small pointer on the knob that spins which isn't even apart of the knob itself.

This is frustrating because this limits the knobs i have available for the GUI.

I've emailed Malc about this message.

In the meantime we have to use Dropbox or similar and post a link. :(

Cheers

Heya Nickateen,
The issue u r having is because the knob is a single frame.
For the Ruby knob to work- u need a knobstrip,
which is say 51 frames stitched together in a long strip.
Should work then.
The knobstrip can be exported from KM

-This file server is shady too, there was an attack on me from it

Hey Nix, thanks for the reply! And really? I been using it for years with no problems (not yet atleast).

What kind of attack? Also, as for the knob...I always export the knob as a animation, so i need to start exporting as a stitched frame...correct?

One more thing, is png the only way to make the knob transparent?

Hey brynte, so basically...I'm exporting the knobs as a PNG animation file and loading them into FS (im replacing the FS "static" knob and loading the PNG file in it's place) however, the knob has no rotation.
