Glissando module?

Glissando module?
In working on my Voyetra emulation, the manual mentions the ability to switch between Glide and Glissando, in the sense of Glide being what FS calls Portamento, and Glissando meaning a quantized (?) or 'semitone-stepped' slide from one note to another like running your finger along a piano keyboard from one note to another. Has anyone built a module that does that instead of smooth portamento?

Re: Glissando module?
Yes!
The module attached is taken from my Quilcom Caster.
In that project it was used with an LFO to play up and down scales. But you could easily just use the first two selections to switch between glide and glissando (chromatic) modes for freq 0-1. Just use the bits you need.
Cheers

EDIT: Ignore this and see later!

Re: Glissando module?
Thanks for that Spogg.
I see where your component 'train' is marked "chromatic" and basically see how these would quantize the output of an LFO for 'rippling' notes, but can't quite puzzle out how they'd be use as an alternative to Portamento; where in the pitch CV stream would these parts be placed and what would the portamento knob be connected to?

I’m so ashamed Kevin. I didn’t spend enough time on this.
The attached schematic contains what you need, with comments inside.
Any issues please just ask.

Re: Glissando module?
Got it working - thanks so much. Had to sweat bullets on this one - I couldn't figure out why it wasn't working; finally figured out that I've always used the Hz to 0-1 between my Detuners and the oscs (probably a leftover from the ancient SM example synth). Got rid of those and presto!
It's interesting that there doesn't seem to be consensus on the exact distinction between Portamento, Glide and Glissando. I'm using Glide for smooth portamento and Gliss for chromatic stepped just because those are the terms used in the Voyetra manual.

Re: Glissando module?
In all the synth manuals I've read they are used variously to refer to the same thing, yes. Seems Glissando is where things get confused - in my experience, acoustic musicians only use glissando in reference to non-synth keyboard instruments (pianos and organs) and portamento to strings and winds, where the notes can slide smoothly.
